Hi Cher (creole for dear/sweetheart, and will make sense late in this post)
How was your January been? Did you do Dry January and how successful was it? My goal for January was to find healthier things to exchange for not so healthy options in my diet which has been very beneficial. (Trader Joes and Target were surprisingly helpful with this goal) Along with drinking lots of water and doing daily stretches to help ease anxiety, this girl is doing VERY good in 2021!
Besides Christmas, Mardi Gras Season, or Carnival Season as some refer to it as, is favorite time of year for me. If you’re doing any new diets in this new year, I highly suggest a cheat meal of King Cake! I don’t think you will be sorry. I will warn you, this is not a typical “cake”. It’s usually a pastry style dough stuffed with many different flavors of your choosing.
Since I’m living in Houston, TX it can be a bit more challenging to get my “favorite” King Cake without paying very high shipping costs. I thought what better than to show you my Top 4 Houston King Cakes that I love so you’re able to order and get before the Big Day AKA Fat Tuesday!
I do also have to share this super cute tee and handmade headband from a local Baton Rouge shop. I have so many tees from this shop and can’t recommend them enough. Also, they have super fast shipping. You can order it now and it will be in for Mardi Gras next week!
* Also sharing my LA favorites you can have shipped right to your door if you need the lagniappe from the best of the best**
