Hello Gorgeous! Now, that we are in the 4th week of the new year, are you starting to feel like “Okay, let me really start pecking away at goals I would like to achieve this year” ? I personally can say I don’t start January 1 ready to go. It takes me a while to get the Holiday blues over with then clear my head to go after my goals in the new year. To be honest.. I have NO idea what those goals started out as last year! It took me about midway through the year to decide to go after my skincare routine goals. In this year, I’m much more clear and determined out the gate on those goals. Aiding those efforts, I’m getting some much needed girls getaway to a very inspirational place next month! Last year well into the pandemic, I like many others really dove into my skincare routine. I had previously been attempting to find the right products for me, but since I was pregnant for the 2 years prior my options were limited and hormones were all over the place. 2020 was a clean slate for me to really find what worked with my body’s post children hormones.
First let me explain my skin and what my concerns are. I have oily/combination skin. Although I’m oily, I can’t use mattifying beauty products because usually it causes drying issues, hence the combination I mentioned. My concerns were/are hormonal acne, fine lines and wrinkles, hydration and oil control, pore minimizing, hydrating, plumping, youthful glow. Yep, told you I have crazy skin LOL.
Below is my Daytime & Nighttime Skincare Routine that currently is giving me the best results for all of skincare concerns I stated above:
DAYTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE-
- Cleanse- I use either Tula’s Cult Cleanser OR Superfood’s Cleaner
- Toner- Glow Recipe’s Pore Tight
- Acne Spot Treatment directly on the blemish not all over- Sunday Riley’s Acne Oil
- Moisturizer- Tula’s Gel Cream
- Vitamin C Eye Cream- Olehenriksen (Another good eye brightening option is Tula’s Rose Glow and Get It)
NIGHTTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE
- Cleanse- I use either again one of my daytime cleaners, but if there is weather or hormonal things that have cause acne issues I use Tula’s Acne Cleaner
- Facial Steamer- I do this prior to applying the remaining products in the nighttime skin care routine ( I like these two options 1 & 2 ). If I don’t have my steamer I apply my Toner
- Acne Treatment all over my face- Sunday Riley’s Acne Oil
- Botox in a Bottle- PCA Skin Rejuvenating Serum (I use this to help extend the life of my Botox. A bottle last me a very long time as I use very little only where my Botox areas are.)
- Eye Cream- Revision Eye Cream
- Eye Lash Serum- Grande Lash Serum (I have tried highly promoted other lash serums and had terrible results. This is most effective lash serum I have used for sensitive skin.)
- Moisturizer- Tula’s Beauty Sleep Overnight Repair
If you have been wanting to get your skin where you have always wanted to be, my advice is GO FOR IT! Up until last year I never just went for it and started to try it all. I have tried a lot over the past year and found what works best for me. Is my skin perfect, NO. But it’s a much better version of what it was this time last year. So I’ll take that as a win and when you’re on your skincare journey remember anything that is improved is a win! I would love to hear things you have tried or wanted to try, please tell this girl!
