Happy Hump Days Lovely Friends!
I will be the first to admit I don’t have it all together these days, HA. With that being said, I do PROMISE that there will be a weekly blog post published here through the end of the year with hopes to being back to super scheduled twice a week published posts. Also note: I am preparing fun Holiday content at the moment that will be coming out in a few weeks so anything particular you want me to share like gift guides, beauty tips, Holiday party outfits, ect.. I am all ears so send your ideas!
Now onto the definition of this week’s post headline. I assume you might be a little confused by it.
Here is my definition on it and what has truly been on my heart to share with y’all this week:
Daily, I have to suit up mentally to accept & rejoice in being imperfect perfect. It’s officially 1 month into being a full time working mom, wife, sister, daughter, best friend, fur momma, maid, ect. The titles are endless these days. Not to mention I am a slight perfectionist in all things. I think as people this can be a quality that goes against us because we put so much pressure on ourselves to ace EVERYTHING. Little do we realize, we are actual rock stars at being imperfectly perfect. I am working hard at finding that groove in this new role of “Mom”. I am very thankful to be able to work full time as sweet Baby B is lactose intolerant and as any mom would know that = VERY expensive formula, lol. Being able provide all he needs lets me rest easy, though at times I do feel unbalanced. Just when this starts to set in my amazing mom reminds me, I am more than enough for my son and she couldn’t have picked a better mother for him. My instinct to be a perfectionist can be truly defeating at times, but I am determined to get to a place where being imperfectly perfect is truly perfect for me in this new place of life.
This insanely comfortable linen suit is perfect. It wrinkles easily just like my forehead when Brantley throws me a curve ball. It makes me feel like supermom in its structured shoulder padded way. And well it’s high waisted which my waist REALLY loves, lol. This is my imperfectly perfect Mom Boss look. When I look in the mirror when wearing this, it makes me see how wonderful I really am. I tell you this, because you need that same feeling!!
You’re more than enough, and a superwoman in your own right!
I challenge you to daily be proud of your imperfectly perfect self. Heck, I have to set this challenge for myself daily and it is making me a more positive, and happy person. This makes for a better mom for Brantley, better wife for my handsome hubs, as well as all the other titles I carry. So if you see Baby B and myself around town wrinkled, but smiling just know we are loving our imperfections 🙂
